Directions from Columbia, SC or Augusta Airport
to Buckeye Plantation 1: Take I-20 W toward AUGUSTA. Go 70 miles 2: Merge onto BOBBY JONES EXWY/I-520 E via exit number 196A. Go 7.1 miles 3: Take the WINDSOR SPRING RD exit- exit number 7- toward US-25/PEACH ORCHARD RD. Go 0.3 miles 4: Take the US-25/I-520 E ramp. Go <0.1 miles 5: Stay straight to go onto I-520 E. Go 0.2 mile 6: Turn RIGHT onto PEACH ORCHARD RD/GA-121 S/US-25 S. Continue to follow GA-121 S/US-25 S. Go 22.8 miles to Waynesboro 7: In downtown Waynesboro Turn RIGHT onto GA-24/GA-56/GA-80, go 1.3 miles 8: See an old white board store. Just before it turn a slight left onto GA-56. Go 21.1 miles 9. Watch for our sign at Henry Rowland Road. Turn left. This is an easy turn to miss. A standard yellow diamond "crossroad" sign will warn you 1/4 mile in advance of the turn, which is partially hidden by a tree grove. If you see a large metal building on the left (a cotton gin) you have just missed the turn. If you come to downtown Midville turn around and go back one mile. 10.Go approximately 1/2 mile on Henry Rowland Road, watch for our sign at Ralph Smith Road. Turn left 12. Go approximately 1 mile, watch for the sign at the entrance to our driveway. Turn right 13. Following the driveway approximately 1/4 mile, watch for a flagstone entry. Turn right into the entry. 14. You will see the Plantation House Lodge. Park before the lodge to the right. Welcome! Total Est. Time from Columbia: 2 hours, 30 minutes. Check in time is between 3:00 and 4:00 pm From Augusta Airport: After picking up your rental car, follow the exit signs out the the airport to the traffic light. Go out of the airport straight through the traffic light. Go approximately four miles to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Hwy 56. Follow Hwy 56 approximately 20 miles to downtown Waynesboro. Continue straight through Waynesboro on Hwy. 56 1.3 miles. Follow directions beginning with No. 8 from the Columbia SC directions listed above. Total est. time from Augusta Airport: 1 hour.
